Ray J wants his dog back — and he’s willing to shell out some big bucks for its return.
On Saturday, the rapper shared a photo of his adorable 11-month-old Maltese, named Boogoti, telling his followers that the puppy was missing and asking anyone in the area if they have any information to share.
That same day, Ray J’s wife, Princess Love Norwood, shared the same post with her Instagram followers; shortly after, she stepped things up with another post, this one offering a $20,000 reward for Boogati’s return.
According to TMZ, the couple was away in New York for the weekend, and left the pup with his parents at their home in Calabasas. Unfortunately, “Boogotti escaped through a gate on their property around 3 p.m. Saturday,” and the couple reportedly flew back to L.A. on Sunday to try to find their beloved pet.
However, when TMZ caught up with Ray J, he had apparently received new intel leading him to believe the dog wasn’t missing, but had been stolen.
“I got some new information on my dog,” he says in a video taken by TMZ, insisting “somebody has taken my dog and put him in a car and drove off. My dog went from being lost to stolen to kidnapped, or whatever you want to call it,” he said.
“Please help me find my dog,” Ray J continued, stating the dog was placed in a Dodge Charger driven by “a young white kid,” approximately 19 or 20 years old.
“If that kid is listening, please be a hero. Please be a good person and bring my dog back,” he added.
“If anybody knows about pets, it’s just like having a kid, it’s part of the family, and we’re just really worried about him,” he concluded. “Please bring the dog back and we’ll give you whatever you need.”
