Dogs have only a few simple needs in life. When it comes down to it, all that they really want or desire is to do is eat, sleep, and play. Out of those three basic things, eating treats is often the favorite one and dinnertime is the highlight of their day. No matter what a dog may be doing, when they hear the sound of dinner being opened and prepared, they come running. However, this isn’t always the case and some dogs would much rather sleep or play than eat food. They’re the ones with weak appetites or who are extremely picky eaters, and they don’t get all that excited when a bowl of food is placed under their noses. This is the group that Samson the Newfoundland puppy falls under. The big dog is only 5 months old and already he easily outsizes most dogs his age. He’d much rather go outside and play with his sister than chow down a bowl of kibble. But his mom won’t let him out until he finishes eating his bowl of kibble. He’s really not happy about that and the fact that he can see his sis romping around outside the window just makes him more nervous and excited to get out there and be with her. Rather than be a good boy, Samson does what any antsy, nervous dog would do when things don’t go their way and throws a temper tantrum! He whines and cries adorably as his mom tries to reassure him it’s okay and that he can go outside later but he just needs to eat and finish his dinner first.
